Purpose of the Role

This role sits within the Business Marketing team at LSEG and directly supports the Communities across Data & Analytics (D&A). The Business Marketing team is a strategic partner to the LSEG business, powering commercial value through an insight led approach that maximises the impact of our investment and our relevance in the market.

The Business Marketing team is the critical link to the Product, Community and Sales teams to ensure all marketing activities are directly aligned to LSEG’s business priorities. As part of the D&A marketing team, this role will be responsible for supporting audience-led marketing initiatives for New Growth Horizons including defining customer-centric propositions, messaging, and content. The Senior Specialist will aid in the development of community strategies and engagement programmes that translate product capabilities into customer value and drive growth, retention and commercial impact across priority market segments.

Applicants for this role should have experience developing multi-channel marketing strategies, stakeholder engagement, and content marketing deliverables to support data or technology solutions to financial communities, with particular interest in Private Markets as well as the corporate community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales and Product teams to support the development of marketing strategy and oversee creation of activation and implement content deliverables.
  • Help shape and articulate the full value proposition for priority communities and personas.
  • Support the develop of audience and community strategies based on customer needs, priorities and goals.
  • Create community messaging, content, customer journeys and engagement plans in partnership with Community marketing lead.
  • Translate product updates and capabilities into customer-centric stories and outcomes.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Global Campaigns and Partner Marketing to bring propositions to market and maximise commercial impact.
  • Collaborate closely with design and writing teams to produce high-quality, compelling content suitable for B2B channels and formats including sales enablement collateral, blogs, whitepapers, reports, social media messages, infographics, etc.
  • Collaborate with the business, agencies and strategic marketing partners to ensure strategy is understood and content is reflective of our customer challenges and our product proof points.
  • Drive a standard of excellence across all deliverables, ensuring they add significant value to the business and maximise return on investment.
  • Ensure all content is engaging, relevant, and articulates our full value propositions, broadens the conversation with the client and deepens relationships as a core part of the sales process.
  • Ensure all content aligns with our verbal and visual brand identity.
  • Edit, proofread, and improve content throughout product process.
  • Make use of analytics/metrics as a basis for marketing investment decision making, track performance against benchmarks and report return on investment.
  • Generate ideas to increase customer engagement.

Skills and Requirements

  • Three to five years of proven experience in B2B marketing, ideally within data, technology, financial services, or related sectors, with a strong track record of developing and executing go-to-market and multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global, matrixed organisations and translate complex technical concepts into compelling customer-focused messaging.
  • Data-driven marketer with experience using marketing technologies and analytics platforms (e.g. Adobe Workfront, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, Google Display, Demandbase) to measure campaign performance and optimise outcomes.
  • Highly organised, curious and proactive, with excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of the financial services industry and the needs of institutional and technology-focused customers
