About Flywheel
Flywheel’s suite of digital commerce solutions accelerate growth across all major digital marketplaces for the world’s leading brands. We give clients access to near real-time performance measurement and improve sales, share, and profit. With teams across the Americas, Europe and APAC, we offer a career with real impact, endless growth opportunities, and the support you need to be the best you can be.
Flywheel Retail Insights provides data and research that prepares the retail industry for the future. Through our subscription platform, analyst interactions, and proprietary forecasts and thought leadership, we support thousands of professionals working at brands, retailers, and other businesses in the retail industry to make better commercial decisions and capture future growth.
The Opportunity
This role sits within Flywheel Retail Insights’ content function and is responsible for advancing our thought leadership on digital commerce industry topics including retail media, agentic commerce, and emerging e-commerce trends. As a senior content specialist, you will combine deep subject matter expertise, data-driven insights, and strong editorial skills to produce reports, insights, and analysis that guide executive investment decisions and business transformation strategies for our clients.
You’ll establish yourself as an authoritative voice on digital commerce for CPG brands: identifying emerging trends before they become obvious, creating informed opinions on the evolving digital commerce landscape, and translating complex market dynamics into compelling, actionable narratives. In addition to shaping our Retail Insights subscription content, you’ll be essential to commercial success through directly supporting our client engagement and new business initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Drive thought leadership and original perspectives on digital commerce.
- Author strategic research reports that combine proprietary data, primary research, and expert analysis to uncover growth opportunities ("where to play") and execution best practices ("how to win").
- Develop deep subject matter expertise in core areas (including retail media) and position Flywheel Retail Insights as the authoritative voice in these spaces.
- Create unique data analysis to solve customers’ frequently asked questions and pain points.
- Monitor and interpret retailer, industry, and macro-economic developments to improve our data forecasts and coverage.
- Own content planning and execution in collaboration with the Research Director - identifying high-impact topics aligned with client priorities and market timing.
- Build and strengthen client relationships by demonstrating expertise, understanding their business challenges, and positioning Flywheel as a strategic partner.
- Represent Flywheel as a visible industry expert through presenting research in-person and through virtual meetings to small and large audiences.
- Create and strengthen customer relationships by cultivating personal relationships and understanding our clients’ business priorities and needs.
- Support new business & renewal sales activities by demonstrating industry expertise and communicating product value and differentiation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
