Specialist Solutions Architect for AWS Bedrock

Do you have the technical depth, advisory skills, and startup instincts necessary to help position AWS as the platform of choice for Inference with AWS Bedrock? Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Startup team as a Specialist Solutions Architect for AWS Bedrock!

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Engage technically with startup customers from CXO/VP to drive adoption of inference on AWS Bedrock, securing lighthouse customers and growing top-line revenue
  • Be the expert on the latest foundation models and model evaluation techniques to best guide startups to their inference usage
  • Become a trusted advisor within customer accounts through technical thought leadership in AI-powered applications and architecture
  • Design and execute technical, scalable assets and architectures on Bedrock for multiple use-cases and company verticals
  • Develop and deploy programs that leverage AWS Field Solution Architect teams, Inference subject-matter experts, model providers, and other partner channels to scale Bedrock adoption
  • Collaborate with the AWS service and engineering teams to surface customer feedback, influence roadmap priorities, and co-create solutions that solve real startup problems
  • Guide and support the AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts aligned to Bedrock and Managed Inference. Create field enablement materials, demo assets, open-source samples, and workshop content for the broader SA population.

The WWSO team helps customers adopt our newest and most advantageous technologies. We are technology specialists. The WWSO Startup team is a team dedicated to helping Startups scale quickly and cost-effectively on AWS. We want Startups to grow better when they choose AWS and we make it easier by recommending the right technologies and then by helping Startups get up and running quickly.

This position specifically is part of the WWSO Startup team, where you will be a Specialist Solution Architect that helps Startups adopt AWS’ technologies with a focus on AWS Bedrock and Managed Inference. You will:

About the Team

The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customers’ most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. We pride ourselves on thinking big, delivering exceptional results for our customers, and working across AWS as #OneTeam.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, engaging with customer executives, technologists or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies.
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals, including architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization of model execution, or experience leading and influencing your team or organization.
  • Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Technical Executive capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering).
  • Master's degree or above in engineering, management, or technology, or Master's degree or above in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with foundation models, open-weight and frontier models, world models, and agentic frameworks used by Startups.
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI architectures — multi-agent orchestration, tool-use patterns, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and autonomous agent frameworks.
  • Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developer communities, and at industry events.
  • Proficiency with design, deployment, and evaluation of LLM-powered agents and tools and orchestration approaches (e.g., Strands Agents SDK, LangGraph, CrewAI).
