About The Role

We're looking for a commercially minded leader to take ownership of a portfolio of rail investment projects, acting as the vital link between clients, stakeholders, and project delivery teams. This is an exciting opportunity to influence major investment decisions, drive value for money, and ensure projects deliver real benefits for passengers, customers, and communities.

In this role, you'll:

  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Translate their requirements into clear project specifications, business cases, and delivery plans
  • Challenge and influence project teams to ensure schemes are delivered safely, efficiently, and within agreed scope, cost, and timescales
  • Lead negotiations, manage portfolio risks, and drive continuous improvement across your projects

What you'll bring

Essential

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience managing client portfolios and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to translate complex business challenges into practical, deliverable solutions
  • Strong report-writing and business case development skills, presenting information clearly and concisely
  • Commercially astute, customer-focused, and outcome-driven
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience leading and developing successful teams
