About the Role

Are you an experienced Spray Painter / Coatings Technician who takes pride in delivering flawless, high-quality industrial finishes in line with customer specifications?
Join our growing team in Chichester, where you will be responsible for the preparation, painting and protective coating of our premium modular and portable buildings.
In this role, you will work with advanced industrial coatings -including two-pack (2K) and polyurea systems - transforming prepared steel structures into durable, customer-ready products. If you enjoy precision work and want to see the direct impact of your craftsmanship every day, this is the perfect move for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Surface Preparation: Cleaning, degreasing, sanding, grinding, and masking steel frameworks and modular building components to ensure perfect coating adhesion.
  • Mixing & Application: Mixing and applying primers, topcoats, industrial two-pack (2K) coatings, and polyurea systems in accordance with manufacturers' specifications, achieving specified RAL colours and high cosmetic standards.
  • Equipment Operation: Operating, cleaning, and performing routine maintenance on airless, HVLP, and conventional spray systems to maximize performance and minimize downtime.
  • Quality Control & Touch-ups: Conducting ongoing quality inspections against company and customer specifications; identifying, recording, and reporting defects or coating failures, and carrying out repairs or re-finishing work where required.
  • Stock & Material Management: Safely storing paints, coatings, tools, and equipment after daily use, and maintaining adequate stock levels of consumables to support production requirements.
  • Teamwork & Schedule: Working closely with supervisors and colleagues to plan and prioritize workloads, meet production schedules, and support other departments where trained and authorized.
  • Safety, Environment & Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workstation at all times; participating in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and mandatory training; and strictly complying with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures, including the correct use of PPE and respiratory protective equipment (RPE).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
