Senior SQL Developer | £55K | Hybrid

I’m looking for an experienced Senior SQL Developer to take ownership of a critical SQL Server environment and play a key role in the design, development, and optimisation of database solutions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong SQL professional to help shape technical direction, improve database performance, support business-critical systems, and provide guidance to other developers. You’ll be joining a collaborative technology team and playing an important role in strengthening SQL capability across the wider business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimisation of SQL Server database solutions
  • Develop and optimise complex T-SQL, including stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
  • Investigate and resolve database performance issues, including query optimisation, blocking, and deadlocks
  • Support database security, backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and key stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
