Senior Staff Nurse – Cardiology

Location: London, The Harley Street Clinic

Position Type: Full Time 37.5hrs Monday to Friday

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits

At HCA Healthcare UK, we know that exceptional patient care starts with exceptional people. That's why we're committed to creating an environment where our colleagues feel supported, valued and empowered to develop their careers.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Staff Nurse with a background in cardiology to join the highly specialised team at The Harley Street Clinic, rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. As one of the UK's leading private hospitals and a recognised centre of excellence for cardiac care, The Harley Street Clinic offers access to some of the most advanced diagnostic technologies, world renowned consultants and complex patient pathways. This is an opportunity to build on your cardiology expertise within a service dedicated to delivering outstanding outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.

Our Cardiology Department provides a wide range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, bubble studies, exercise tolerance tests and ambulatory cardiac monitoring. Working alongside leading cardiologists and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in supporting patients through every stage of their diagnostic and treatment journey while continuing to develop your specialist knowledge and leadership skills.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you'll provide expert nursing care across a varied caseload and support the day-to-day running of the department. You'll undertake cardiac investigations, administer medications, monitor patients throughout procedures, provide education and reassurance, and act as a clinical role model for junior colleagues. In the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse, you'll help coordinate the unit to ensure safe, effective and responsive care for every patient.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
