Elephant Ward is looking to recruit Senior Staff Nurses

Permanent Full Time - Blood, Cells and Cancer Directorate

About the Role

Elephant ward is part of a large Haematology/Oncology department that cares for children from 0-12 years old. We are committed to working in partnership with the community teams and shared care centre in order to provide the highest quality care for children and their families. The unit provides a dynamic environment with opportunities to be involved in research and the care of children undergoing treatments such as high dose therapy, stem cell rescue, and antibody treatments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive attitude towards continuing improvements in patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
  • Act as a mentor to students.
  • Engage in professional development and take advantage of extensive educational opportunities, including study to degree and masters level.
