Location: Rachel House, Kinross (Temporarily Mina House, Kinglassie)
Salary: £43,326 - £52,126 per annum (pro rata) + 10% shift allowance
Contract Type: Permanent. We have opportunities for both full-time and part-time hours. All positions are worked on a rota basis using 12.5-hour shifts.

Exciting opportunity for two Senior Staff Nurses to join our Hospice team in Rachel House in Kinross.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Children’s Staff Nurse with a proven track record delivering exceptional care and skill in nursing practice, to join our Rachel House Hospice Team as a Senior Staff Nurse. In this role you will take responsibility for leading assessment, planning, organising, implementing and evaluating nursing care for children, young people and families. You will be supported to take on leadership and line management responsibilities and will work closely with the Senior Charge Nurses to promote effective teamwork across the service to meet the needs of children, young people and families

About You
What we need you to bring
- First level registered nurse, all applicants will need to provide a valid UK NMC pin.
- Highly experienced in a nursing role, working with children, young people and their families.
- Experience of prioritising a busy workload, acting as a role model for the team and demonstrating strong leadership skills
- Commitment to delivering care with empathy and compassion.
It Would Be Great If You Also Had
- Experience in working with children who have complex or life-limiting conditions
- Up to date mandatory training

Rachel House, CHAS’ hospice in Kinross (KY13 8FX) is embarking on an exciting two-year rebuild programme from Summer/Autumn 2026. During this time our hospice services will continue to run from a temporary site in Kinglassie, Fife called Mina House (KY5 0XT).
Mina House is a 20 minute drive from Rachel House.
We can offer full-time or part-time contracts; all roles are worked as 12.5-hour shifts on a rota basis.
This means that where part-time hours are available, they are delivered through a reduced number of 12.5-hour shifts.
Typical Patterns Include
- 3 shifts per week (37.5 hours per week)
- 2 shifts per week (25 hours per week)
- An alternating pattern of 2 shifts one week and 3 shifts the next (62.25 hour per fortnight)
