Combined Assessment Unit, Belford Hospital, Fort William
Belford Hospital is located in Fort William in Lochaber, the Outdoor Capital of the UK. The area offers outstanding beauty and opportunities for water sports, mountaineering, and snow sports. Fort William itself lies at the head of Loch Linnhe and at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest and most popular mountain in the British Isles, with Glasgow, Inverness, and Stirling all within a 2-hour drive.
17 assessment beds, 2 general enhanced care beds, 10 day surgery beds, pre-assessment clinic 6 days
Role Overview
Primarily in the Combined Assessment Unit (CAU) with development opportunities in Enhanced Care (EC), Day Case Unit, and Pre-assessment Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Relevant and current experience in acute care
- Enthusiastic and innovative approach to team working
- Highly developed acute assessment skills
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Enhanced care knowledge desirable
