Senior Staff Software Engineer | London | Up to £150K | 5 Days Onsite

We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Staff Software Engineer to join an early-stage, fast-growing startup and build the next generation of AI products.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who has actually built and shipped agentic AI systems into production not simply worked in ML, data science, or AI research.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build and ship AI products end-to-end, from architecture through to production.
  • Design and develop agentic AI systems and LLM-powered applications.
  • Build robust backend services using Python or TypeScript, with a strong emphasis on async Python.
  • Work hands-on with asyncio, coroutines, httpx, AsyncOpenAI, and production-grade error handling.
  • Develop scalable systems using modern cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, serverless and distributed systems.
  • Integrate AI products with CRMs, event-driven platforms and external APIs.
  • Work directly with customers to understand problems, scope solutions and deliver impactful products.
  • Take significant ownership in an early-stage startup environment, where you’ll have a direct influence on the product and technology.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
