About the role:
To partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify, shape and execute procurement opportunities that create sustainable commercial and operational value. To proactively monitor supply markets, emerging technologies and new ways of doing business, translating them into category strategies and redefined spend approaches, while procuring goods and services on the best possible commercial terms and to the required quality standard.

What you’ll be doing:
- Identify and shape procurement opportunities by monitoring supply markets, emerging technologies and new commercial or operational models, redefining category and spend strategy rather than simply executing business requests.
- Lead market sourcing of goods and services, including market analysis and benchmarking.
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with organisational objectives and cost/value optimisation targets.
- Negotiate and conclude commercial and confidentiality agreements.
- Manage end-to-end procurement projects, including RFIs, RFQs and RFPs.
- Qualify, verify and evaluate suppliers, including assessing their innovation and capability.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiating terms of cooperation.
- Drive continuous improvement and value-creation initiatives across cost, sustainability, risk and innovation within owned categories.
- Deliver cyclical performance reporting.
- Manage projects in line with defined KPIs.
- Conduct ongoing market analysis, monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Execute procurement strategy in line with the agreed plan and procurement procedure.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver procurement projects and align on evolving business needs.
- Maintain complete and accurate tender documentation.
- Provide regular reporting on tasks, results and market insight to the line manager.

What we need from you:
We’re looking for people who are ready for a fast paced environment, get their kicks out of problem solving and can balance getting today's stuff done, whilst building for the future. We’re looking for people with drive and natural curiosity – who want to do things differently. And do them brilliantly.
We’d be particularly excited to hear from you if:
- Indirect procurement experience within a category
- Strong knowledge of Source-to-Pay, ERP systems and MS Office
- Sound analytical skills, with familiarity using frameworks such as PESTEL, ABC/XYZ and Porter's Five Forces
- Strong market and category research skills, with a sharp eye for emerging technologies and trends
Desirable
- International procurement experience
- CIPS qualification or equivalent
