Senior Strategy Analyst

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Strategy Analyst to lead a small team of Strategy Analysts and help shape the commercial decisions that drive revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction across Avanti West Coast.

You’ll combine advanced analytical and modelling expertise with strong commercial understanding, turning complex data into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders.

What you’ll do

  • Lead a team of Strategy Analysts, developing talent and building a centre of excellence for commercial insight.
  • Develop and maintain statistical, mathematical and forecasting models supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
  • Analyse revenue and market trends to identify risks, opportunities and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Commercial and wider business teams to influence decisions and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Lead Commercial forecasting and budgeting analysis, ensuring accurate and robust outputs.
  • Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability.
  • Represent Avanti West Coast as a subject matter expert through industry forecasting and modelling initiatives.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong experience in commercial analytics, strategy, forecasting or revenue analysis.
  • Excellent mathematical and statistical modelling skills.
  • Strong commercial judgement and a data-led approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to turn complex analysis into clear recommendations that influence senior decision makers.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching and developing analytical teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
