Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, bringing together the world’s leading risk takers to advance global progress.
Our strategy is focused on delivering strong underwriting performance, operating an efficient and flexible marketplace, and maximising the capital advantage of the Lloyd’s market — while continuing to build a Lloyd’s we are proud of.
How we deliver this, matters. We take the risk, make things happen, and own the outcome — working together across our global network to turn insight into impact.
Join our Strategy team and help shape the future of the Lloyd’s market.
As a Senior Associate in the Strategy team, you’ll turn data, research and insight into meaningful action. You’ll analyse global insurance markets, market participants, emerging trends and strategic opportunities, providing the intelligence that helps Lloyd’s make informed decisions and supports long-term profitable growth across the market.
This is a highly visible role where your work will influence senior stakeholders across Lloyd’s and the wider insurance industry. You’ll combine curiosity, commercial thinking and analytical expertise to uncover insights that matter, helping us understand where the market is today and where it could go next.
What you’ll be doing
- Deliver quantitative and qualitative analysis to support Lloyd’s strategic priorities and market development activities.
- Research and monitor global insurance market trends, competitor activity, economic developments and emerging opportunities.
- Produce market intelligence and briefings on syndicates, managing agents, brokers, regions, market segments and prospective market participants.
- Build clear, evidence-based recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
- Present complex analysis through reports, presentations and data visualisations that influence a broad range of stakeholders.
- Use analytical, business intelligence and AI-enabled tools to improve insight generation and increase efficiency.
- Maintain and enhance reporting tools and dashboards, helping colleagues and market participants self-serve intelligence and data.
- Respond to intelligence and data requests from internal stakeholders and Lloyd’s market participants, ensuring compliance with data governance and competition law requirements.
- Support strategic relationships with external partners and intelligence providers.
- Promote the team’s insights, tools and resources, helping drive engagement and adoption across the Corporation and market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
