About The Role
You'll be part of a global team focused on creating value for banking clients through finance and risk transformation initiatives. Working closely with senior client stakeholders, including CFO organizations and finance leadership teams, you will help shape business strategies, define transformation roadmaps, and support the delivery of large-scale change programs.
This role is ideal for professionals with a background in strategy consulting who combine strong banking finance expertise with a solid understanding of technology-enabled transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic workstreams within finance and risk transformation programs for banks and other financial institutions
- Advise banking CFO organizations on topics such as financial steering, performance management, planning, reporting, and finance operating model transformation
- Translate complex business challenges into practical solutions, target operating models, and implementation roadmaps
- Collaborate with product, technology, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure successful execution of transformation initiatives
- Support client engagements from opportunity shaping through implementation, including interactions with senior executives and C-level stakeholders
- Contribute thought leadership on banking finance, risk management, data-driven performance steering, and transformation trends
- Help define and evolve SAP Fioneer's finance and risk transformation offerings for banking clients

Job location
Remote-first role based in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Serbia or Romania. Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in strategy consulting, preferably serving financial institutions or banking clients
- Experience working within banking finance functions, CFO organizations, or finance transformation programmes in the banking industry
- Strong understanding of banking finance processes, including financial planning, controlling, performance management, reporting, or finance data and analytics
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation initiatives, including operating model design, process optimisation, and technology implementation
- Strong technology affinity and interest in digital transformation, including exposure to financial technology (FinTech), Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, or enterprise platforms
- Ability to bridge business and technology topics and communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
