Senior Strategy Consulting Manager

We're looking for a Senior Strategy Consulting Manager to help shape the future of our fast-growing Strategy & Insights practice.

Working directly with our Head of Consulting, you will take ownership of client relationships, craft innovative project designs and develop strategies to address complex challenges. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in life sciences consulting who is keen to grow with an ambitious startup.

We are looking only for the brightest and sharpest minds. Are you a strategic thinker with a deep curiosity in tomorrow’s biggest healthcare challenges? Are you a problem-solver that doesn’t quite fit into the ‘conventional’ box? Are you excited to contribute your knowledge and experience alongside a diverse global team? If so, we’d love you to apply.

Our Practice Areas Focus On:

Commercial Strategy & Excellence

We help marketeers to truly understand their customers and translate that insight into differentiated strategic choices. Once we've defined a clear, customer-led direction, we help turn strategy into reality, adapting when the evidence shifts. This is about challenging teams to think boldly, experiment fearlessly and craft stories and strategies that will provoke and inspire customers to take meaningful action.

Medical Affairs Transformation

Medical is evolving from a reactive scientific support function into a leading strategic partner that shapes brand strategy and drives launch success. We work with Medical Affairs teams to define their scope as future leaders, build the capabilities required for effective partnership across the organisation, and translate complex science into clear, compelling stories that enable the right engagement.

Patient Strategy & Engagement

We help organisations embed patient centricity - taking patient engagement from a string of disconnected initiatives to an enterprise capability that delivers measurable impact. We believe patient insights have the greatest impact when there is continuity in what we hear, consistency in how we interpret it, and clarity in how we use it to shape decisions and drive change.

Who We're Looking For

We’re seeking a leader with a passion for disrupting the status quo in pharma. The below are most important to us:

  • Consulting Experience: You have 7+ years of strategy or management consulting experience, with at least 4 years focused on life sciences or pharma.
  • Commercial Nous: You're confident partnering with our Sales team on calls with prospective clients, building proposals and scoping work.
  • Life Sciences Industry Knowledge: You have gained deep expertise working in house or on life sciences Consultancy projects in one or more of our practice focus areas.
  • Leadership Ability: You’re an authentic, pace-setting leader dedicated to bringing out the best in those around you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Mentoring: mentor a diverse, global team of consultants, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Invest in their growth and success while delivering high-performance outcomes.
  • Taking the stage: Share your perspective as a thought leader and Impatient advocate on stage (or on the webinar screen).

Why We Exist

There are thousands, maybe even millions, of consulting companies in the world. Only a few are trying to do something new. We believe our company, Impatient, is one of them.

Our work is exclusively in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medtech industries, which tend to think of themselves as mature and conservative in their approach to risk. We exist because science

We are also growing fast. Despite being young (5 years), we have grown some incredible assets - (i) knowing everyone in the industry, (ii) having an ‘independent’ positioning, and (iii) having a CEO who is known as a disruptor & thought-leader. Because of this, we receive many organic approaches from potential clients who are looking for help on a wide variety of projects. We need someone who can work as a trusted collaborator with our Head of Consulting to convert these into long standing, growing engagements.

What to Expect from Our Interview Process

We’ll always aim to review your application as soon as possible - but as a small team committed to looking at every application (without relying on AI), sometimes it takes longer that we’d like to get in touch with next steps.

  • A 20-25 minute intro call with our Head of People
  • A 50 minute skills interview
  • A take home task
  • An 50 minute final interview with our Head of Consulting and other members of our leadership team (including a debrief on the task and broader questions about your personal values and ways of working)

Please Note: All applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom (UK).
