SENIOR STRATEGY MANAGER

Essential:

  • Insurance
  • Corporate Strategy
  • Consulting or In-house/Industry

£80-100k + package (incl. bonus, pension etc.)
Offices: City of London (3 days WFH)

Pear Talent are partnering with a specialist organisation operating at the intersection of insurance, risk and climate resilience, on a newly created Senior Strategy Manager position. This is an opportunity for an experienced strategy professional to take a broad, high-visibility role within a small purpose-led organisation, helping shape its strategic direction at an important stage of its development.

Why this role?

This is not a conventional strategy role where you produce decks and hand them over.

  • You’ll work closely with senior leadership, the Executive Committee and Board, helping turn complex market, commercial and external developments into clear strategic insight and actionable recommendations.

The organisation operates in a rapidly evolving environment, with long-term questions around risk, climate change, insurance affordability, market dynamics and the future of the UK insurance market creating a genuinely interesting strategic agenda.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Help shape and evolve the corporate strategy and strategic priorities
  • Identify emerging risks, opportunities and market developments
  • Turn complex analysis and information into clear recommendations for senior decision-makers
  • Work directly with senior leadership, the Executive Committee and Board
  • Engage with major insurance organisations and senior industry stakeholders
  • Influence strategic initiatives rather than simply advise from the sidelines

This is particularly well suited to someone who has built a strong strategy toolkit and is now looking for more ownership, broader exposure and the opportunity to see their work directly influence organisational decisions.

You’ll join a talented, relatively small team where your contribution will be visible and where the strategic agenda is both varied and meaningful.
