Senior Strategy & Operations Manager - Marketplaces
Location: Nine Elms, London - Full-time
We are looking for a highly driven and passionate Senior Strategy & Operations Manager to manage the third party Marketplaces business end to end. The Marketplaces business is growing at a rapid pace and we are looking for a high calibre senior individual contributor to take it to the next level. You will be at the heart of a key growth vector for the business.
You will report into the Director, Strategy & Business Operations and will take ownership of the Marketplaces P&L, operating rhythm and commercial relationships. This role requires a strong balance of commercial acumen, strategic thinking, analytical rigor and execution skills. It is well suited for someone from a commercial or strategy background wanting to make a transition into a general management or operating role.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the Marketplaces business end to end including delivery of top and bottom line P&L targets, effective day to day operations and robust commercial relationship.
- Develop a strategic framework for how to compete and win on Marketplaces while sustainably growing the overall business.
- Build Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and unlock opportunities to drive greater value for the business.
- Analyse performance data & generate insights to continuously optimise investments across Pricing, Advertising & Promotions.
- Partner with the internal Commercial and Technology teams to unlock new growth vectors on Marketplaces.
- Run weekly business reviews with Marketplaces to analyse results across financial, customer, operational and service metrics.
- Manage the internal weekly business reviews for Marketplaces with the Director, Strategy & Business Operations.
- Become the internal champion for Marketplaces and its broader role within the Zapp ecosystem.

Requirements
- 6+ years experience in a high standards, fast paced and outcome oriented environment.
- Understanding of platform P&L and underlying drivers.
- Strong evidence of commercial acumen and business judgement.
- High levels of analytical rigour, first principles thinking and intellectual honesty.
- Ability to think in systems and see the bigger picture.
- Effective communication, relationship building and partnership skills.
- Bias for action and a willingness to get to the bottom of things.
- Track record of challenging the status quo and not settling.
- Previous experience of working with Marketplaces is a plus, but not required.
