Alemara Engineering is expanding our team of Structural Engineers to support our growing residential workload across London and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for experienced Structural Engineers to work with us on a roles across a full time, part time and flexible contract basis, with projects allocated accordingly and around your existing availability and commitments.

Our work covers a broad range of residential structural engineering, including:

  • Structural surveys and site inspections
  • Assessment of cracking, movement and structural defects
  • Structural condition assessments and technical reporting
  • Residential extensions, loft conversions and alterations
  • Load-bearing wall removals and beam designs
  • Structural calculations and design packages
  • Basements and more complex residential alterations
  • New-build residential structures
  • Review and QA of structural designs and reports, depending on experience

We are particularly interested in engineers who have experience attending residential properties, making engineering judgements on site and producing clear structural reports, as well as those with strong residential design experience.

What we're looking for:

  • You should have a Civil or Structural Engineering degree and practical experience within building structures.
  • Ideally, you'll have several years of experience working on residential projects and be comfortable managing work independently.

Chartered Engineers (CEng MICE / MIStructE) are particularly encouraged to apply, although chartership is not essential for all positions.
