Principal Structural Engineer

This nationwide Building Structures Engineering consultancy have recently established a London office and are now seeking a Principal / Associate level Structural Engineer to join their team. They offer a generous package, with flexible working, fully supported career development and the opportunity to work on, develop and lead some outstanding building structures projects in London.
About the Role
You will act as the lead consultant on projects providing C&S representation and input at key stages of the project to other members of the project team as well as ensuring that the C&S requirements are communicated and delivered across the business and specifically your team.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead consultant on projects
- Provide C&S representation and input at key project stages
- Ensure C&S requirements are communicated and delivered
- Mentor junior staff
- Develop Structural/Civil Engineering designs autonomously
- Communicate engineering concepts to clients, architects, and staff in meetings
Key Requirements

- Experience in civil and structural engineering design
- Ability to mentor junior staff
- Experience in developing Structural/Civil Engineering designs through various project stages
- Ability to apply analysis techniques for calculations
- Ability to manage the preparation of calculations by junior staff
- Ability to break down complex structures into individual components
- Comfortable representing the company at internal and external meetings
