Role Description
The Senior Structural Engineer will provide technical leadership on a range of structural and civil engineering projects, ensuring designs are safe, efficient, and compliant with relevant standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Performing structural analysis and calculations
- Developing and reviewing structural designs
- Producing detailed drawings and documentation using CAD and other design tools
- Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Reviewing junior engineers’ work
- Contributing to project planning, cost estimates, and quality assurance
- Supporting site inspections, assessments, and technical reports
- Helping to resolve design and construction issues in a timely manner

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nottingham.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Structural Engineering, with experience leading design on building or infrastructure projects.
- Advanced skills in Structural Analysis and structural design calculations to assess safety, performance, and compliance.
- Competence in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for producing and reviewing drawings and models.
- Relevant engineering degree (e.g., BEng/MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering) and professional registration or progress toward chartership (e.g., ICE or IStructE).
- Experience managing projects, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Solid understanding of UK building codes, standards, and construction practices, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and present design solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
