Structural Engineer : Oxfordshire

Location: Near Banbury, Oxfordshire

Salary: Up to GBP50,000, depending on experience

Working: Flexible hybrid approach

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer with 3-4 years experience, or more, to join a forward-thinking engineering consultancy based near Banbury in Oxfordshire.

The consultancy has a great and growing pipeline of mixed project work, providing the opportunity to work across a varied range of sectors and building types. With an interesting workload ahead, this is an excellent time to join a business where you can continue developing your technical skills while gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects.

The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Undertaking structural analysis and design across a range of projects
  • Producing calculations, specifications and technical reports
  • Developing structural schemes in a variety of materials
  • Preparing and reviewing technical drawings
  • Working closely with architects, contractors and other engineering disciplines
  • Contributing to projects from initial concept through to detailed design
  • Attending site visits and providing technical support where required
  • Taking increasing responsibility for project delivery as your experience develops

About You

The ideal Structural Engineer will have around 3-4 years relevant consultancy experience, although candidates with more experience are also encouraged.

You Should Have

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Relevant UK consultancy experience
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles
  • Experience working on a variety of building projects
  • Good technical design and calculation skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
  • A willingness to take ownership and develop your career
