A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing Structures team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to become involved in a diverse range of projects, working from initial concept through to completion while developing their leadership and client-facing skills.
You’ll be joining a collaborative environment where structural engineers work closely with specialists across the wider business, giving you the opportunity to contribute ideas, develop innovative solutions and play an important role in delivering projects efficiently and sustainably.
We Are Looking For A Senior Structural Engineer Who:
- Has a relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Is Chartered with the IStructE, or actively working towards Chartership.
- Has strong experience designing building structures within a UK consultancy environment.
- Has a sound understanding of British Standards, CDM Regulations and designer responsibilities.
- Takes an innovative and practical approach to structural design.
- Has excellent communication skills and is confident presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Can organise and prioritise multiple projects while working to deadlines.
- Is keen to develop their leadership skills and support junior engineers.

As The Successful Senior Structural Engineer, You Will:
- Develop structural designs and analysis for a variety of building projects.
- Take projects through the full lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to completion.
- Produce detailed calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
- Work closely with architects, clients and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Develop efficient structural solutions with sustainability and whole-life performance in mind.
- Review and verify calculations, drawings and technical information produced by junior members of the team.
- Support and mentor less experienced engineers and technicians.
- Build your client-facing experience and contribute to the wider growth of the business.
- Take advantage of structured mentoring to develop your technical and leadership capabilities.

- £55,000-£65,000 with annual salary reviews.
