Company Description

Alemara is a growing London-based civil and structural engineering consultancy delivering structural engineering across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Our building work ranges from structural surveys, defect, and subsidence investigations through to extensions, loft conversions, basements, refurbishments, and new-build developments. We work directly with homeowners, architects, developers, and contractors, providing practical engineering advice and buildable structural solutions.

Alongside this, the wider Alemara team has experience supporting major UK infrastructure projects including HS2 and Hinkley Point C.

We are building a modern engineering consultancy with a strong focus on technical quality, client service, and using technology to make engineering delivery simpler and more efficient.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing London team.

This is a hands-on senior role for an engineer who is comfortable taking responsibility for projects from initial inspection through to design and delivery.

A significant part of the role will involve attending properties and sites, assessing existing structures and defects, developing structural solutions, and communicating your findings clearly to clients.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
