Senior / Principal Structural Engineer
Manchester | 45k - 60k + Benefits
Emtech Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing civil & structural engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior/Principal Structural Engineer for their Manchester office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to join a collaborative team working on a varied portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, healthcare, education, energy and leisure.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading structural engineering projects from feasibility through to completion, with a mixture of technical design, project management and client liaison.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading structural engineering projects from inception to completion
- Producing structural designs, calculations, reports and drawings
- Designing in steel, concrete, timber and masonry
- Structural analysis and 3D modelling
- Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and other disciplines
- Site inspections, surveys and structural assessments
- Building Regulations submissions and defect/remediation work
- Providing technical guidance and developing cost-effective engineering solutions

About You
- 5+ years' structural engineering experience
- Chartered or approaching Chartered status
- Strong building structures experience
- Experience delivering projects through to completion
- Good knowledge of structural design and analysis
- Experience with software such as Robot, Tekla Structural Designer or MasterSeries
- Strong BIM/3D modelling knowledge
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within a team
