Senior Structural Engineer/Associate

Canterbury, Kent
£55k-£75k

Interested to find out more about working for this innovative 70 strong design led structural design practice?

The role could be at a senior structural engineer level as a hands on project running designer, or for an Associate to be involved in taking a lead role in the growth and development of their new, small office in Canterbury. You would need to be an experienced all round buildings designer, and ideally you will be MIStructE or MICE qualified.

The longer term plan is for this office to become around 10 staff. The Director and office space are already in place.

This is a design led practice with exciting and challenging architecturally led work, a focus on sustainability and a "thinking outside the box" approach.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
