Narro Associates is an award-winning structural and civil engineering consultancy with a reputation for delivering innovative, practical, and sustainable engineering solutions across a diverse range of sectors. We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Engineer, or an ambitious engineer approaching Chartership, to take ownership of challenging projects, lead client relationships, and play a key role in the development of both our people and business.
The Role
You will lead the design and delivery of complex structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, managing technical quality, commercial performance, and project teams. You will work closely with architects, developers, contractors, and fellow consultants to deliver practical and efficient engineering solutions.
The successful candidate will be trusted to take ownership of multiple projects, provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design, analysis, and delivery of projects across a range of sectors.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality expectations.
- Act as the primary technical contact for clients, architects, and contractors.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and manage project resources effectively.
- Undertake site inspections, design team meetings, and construction-stage support.
- Review and approve technical designs, calculations, and reports.
- Mentor and develop graduate and project engineers.
- Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards, Building Safety legislation, and company quality procedures.
- Contribute to business development, client management, and work-winning activities.

About You
We are interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE or MICE) or strong progress towards Chartership.
- Proven experience delivering building structures projects independently.
- Strong technical capability across a range of structural materials.
- Experience using industry-standard analysis and modelling software.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Commercial awareness and project management capability.
- A collaborative approach with a passion for mentoring and developing others.

What We Offer
- Competitive salary and benefits package - depending on experience, the salary for this role will be in the range of £35,500 - £55,000 pa.
