Senior Structural Technician

Glasgow

£40,000 - £50,000 + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Structural Technician looking to take the next step in your career? Would you like to work on a varied portfolio of building structures projects alongside experienced engineers and designers? Do you want to join a growing multidisciplinary team where your technical skills and development are genuinely valued?

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Technician to join its Structures team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician to work on a diverse range of building projects while playing an important role in delivering high-quality structural designs from concept through to completion. You'll work closely with structural engineers, architects, and other disciplines, using your technical expertise to produce accurate, coordinated drawings and models. The role also offers excellent scope to develop your skills and take on greater responsibility within an established and supportive team.

  • Has strong experience working as a Structural Technician within a UK consultancy.
  • Has extensive experience producing structural drawings and models for building structures projects.
  • Is confident using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Has experience working with reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures.
  • Understands BIM processes and coordinated multidisciplinary design.
  • Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing high-quality technical information.
  • Can manage their own workload and meet project deadlines.
  • Communicates effectively with engineers, architects, and other members of the design team.

As The Successful Senior Structural Technician, You Will:

  • Produce detailed structural drawings and 3D models for a variety of building projects.
  • Work alongside structural engineers to develop practical and efficient design solutions.
  • Assist with projects from initial concept through to construction.
  • Coordinate structural information with architects and other engineering disciplines.
  • Contribute to BIM and digital design processes across projects.
  • Review and maintain drawing and model quality throughout project delivery.
  • Support junior technicians and share your technical knowledge with the wider team.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on programme.

  • £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
