Role Description

The Senior Student Counsellor (UK Higher Education) is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This position involves advising prospective international students on suitable UK higher education options, including universities, colleges, and specific courses aligned with their academic background and career goals.   • Conducting one-to-one counselling sessions
  • Reviewing academic records
  • Guiding students through application requirements
  • Supporting students with personal statements and supporting documents
  • Coordinating with education providers
  • Responding to student inquiries
  • Maintaining accurate records in CRM or similar systems
  • Contributing to outreach activities such as information sessions, webinars, and events

  • Help refine counselling processes
  • Ensure a consistently high standard of student service

Qualifications/Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise in Student Counseling and guidance within UK higher education pathways
  • Experience in Career Counseling, helping students align study choices with long-term professional goals
  • Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal interaction with diverse international audiences
  • Proven Customer Service abilities, with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and problem-solving
  • Solid understanding of the Education sector, particularly UK universities, colleges, admissions processes, and visa-related considerations
  • Previous experience working with international students or in an education consultancy environment is highly beneficial
  • Ability to manage multiple student cases, prioritize tasks, and meet application timelines with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with office software and CRM tools for tracking student interactions and applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; advanced qualifications in counseling or education advisement are an advantage
  • Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and sensitivity to cultural differences in a global student community
  • Minimum 2 Years of experience in the relevant field
