Job Title: Senior SuccessFactors Systems Specialist

Location: Farnborough

Contract: 6 Months with possible extension

Rate: Up to £700 per day via an approved umbrella company

Security Clearance: Must be willing and eligible to go through the SC Clearance process

We are seeking a Senior SuccessFactors Systems Specialist to provide expert technical and functional leadership for the SAP SuccessFactors platform and associated HR technology ecosystem.

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as the technical and functional lead for SAP SuccessFactors, ensuring the platform meets business, security, compliance, and operational requirements.
  • Own the administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of SuccessFactors modules in accordance with business requirements and SAP best practice.
  • Define and maintain the SuccessFactors roadmap in partnership with HR stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, and service owners.
  • Lead system enhancements, continuous improvement initiatives, and adoption activities across the SuccessFactors platform.
  • Manage SuccessFactors releases, evaluating new functionality and coordinating testing, communication, and deployment activities.
  • Support integrations between SuccessFactors and associated enterprise applications, ensuring data integrity and operational resilience.
  • Lead data migration, validation, reconciliation, and data quality initiatives across the HR technology landscape.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex incidents, service requests, and problem investigations.
  • Administer role-based permissions and security models, ensuring compliance with audit, governance, and data protection requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain evidence of compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, knowledge articles, training materials, and support procedures.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to HR teams, managers, employees, and system administrators.
  • Manage relationships with SAP and third-party support providers, escalating issues and influencing service improvements.
  • Lead testing activities including unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability development within the wider IT Operations function.
  • Support HR transformation programmes, acquisitions, divestments, and organisational change initiatives affecting HR systems.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process standardisation, and employee experience improvements.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience supporting and administering SAP SuccessFactors in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrable expertise in SuccessFactors configuration, administration, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working across one or more SuccessFactors modules, preferably Employee Central and Talent Management solutions.
  • Proven experience managing SuccessFactors releases, upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Experience of HR system integrations, data migration, and data quality management.
  • Experience engaging with HR stakeholders and translating business requirements into system solutions.
  • Experience working with external vendors, implementation partners, and SAP support services.
  • Good understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle management.
  • Experience operating within regulated or governance-driven environments.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.

Key Capabilities/Knowledge

  • Deep technical and functional expertise in SAP SuccessFactors and HR technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of SuccessFactors architecture, security models, role-based permissions, business rules, workflows, MDF objects, and integration frameworks.
  • Experience supporting multiple SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Compensation, Learning, Succession, and People Analytics.
  • Knowledge of SuccessFactors release management and SAP product roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data structures.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors integrations, middleware technologies, APIs, and data migration activities.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, audit controls, security governance, and HR data management principles.
  • Ability to translate HR and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across HR, IT, suppliers, and leadership teams.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience driving platform adoption, process improvement, and organisational change.
  • Understanding of ITIL-aligned service management disciplines.

Desirable

  • Relevant SAP SuccessFactors certifications highly desirable.
  • ITIL certification desirable.
