Vacancy Details
Duration: 1 x Permanent & 1 x 9 month FTC/Secondment
Location: The Quadrant, Milton Keynes, Manchester Square One or London Paddington.
Band & Salary: Band 3C £55,596 - £67,813
About The Role
What will you be doing?
- Manage customers including effective project cost management and providing feedback into subsequent procurement processes.
- Manage the contracting process, negotiating agreements with Telecoms third party funded strategic partners and to provide long term flexible sustainable business relationships whilst delivering value for money services that meet Network Rail's needs.
- Manage the in life contract management of Telecoms third party funded commercial agreements and supporting contracts, managing the commercial review of delivery.
- Support maximising the Network Rail commercial position on third party funded projects and assurance that supplier contracts align with third party party contracts where appropriate.
- Manage the monitoring of all Telecoms third party funded contract reporting such that it is accurately maintained and recorded in accordance with company reporting systems. Explain all variances to predicted commercial performance and propose mitigating actions at the earliest opportunity.
- Establishment and implemented the continuous improvement of contract process & governance to facilitate Government and other Telecoms third party funded workstreams.
- Provide pro-active expertise, advice and implementation of all contract/scope changes in accordance with change control process, recommending or authorising appropriate action within delegated authority and progressing the timely resolution of contract variations.
- Identify emerging problems, report contractual claims & support in the management and resolution of legal and/or commercial disputes in conjunction with management as appropriate.

Essential
Your experience and skills
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Commercial experience within the telecoms industry
- Experience of negotiating third party funded contracts
- Knowledge of railway and construction industry conditions of contract.
- Experience of resolution of construction contract disputes
- Knowledge of 3rd party funded projects.
- Excellent Business Acumen with strong commercial focus and financially astute
- Profit and loss management experience
Desirable
- Experience of managing and developing a team of staff.
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Experience in Finance.
