Role Summary

The Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for leading Xoserve’s strategic approach to supplier relationship management, ensuring key supplier partnerships deliver value, resilience, innovation, and long-term business benefit. The role focuses on the health and effectiveness of strategic supplier relationships, providing oversight and insight beyond the administration of individual contracts.

Working closely with suppliers and senior business stakeholders, the role will develop and maintain supplier relationship plans, lead strategic governance forums, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and drive collaborative improvement initiatives. The role will also support Xoserve’s transition to a future multi-supplier operating model by strengthening supplier collaboration and managing relationship dynamics across the supplier ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Xoserve’s supplier segmentation framework and define the appropriate relationship approach for strategic and high-dependency suppliers.
  • Develop concise supplier relationship plans for strategic suppliers, ensuring plans remain current and cover key objectives, stakeholders, performance themes, value opportunities, and risks.
  • Prepare, facilitate, and lead strategic supplier and executive governance forums, ensuring actions, commitments, and decisions are clearly documented, owned, and delivered to completion.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders, promoting collaboration, transparency, and shared accountability.
  • Gather and analyse business and supplier feedback to identify relationship friction, service dependencies, capacity constraints, future demand concerns, and emerging risks at an early stage.
  • Monitor and assess relationship health across priority suppliers, identifying trends, escalating concerns where required, and providing insight to support proactive intervention and resolution.
  • Develop, coordinate, and track joint improvement, innovation, resilience, and value-creation initiatives with priority suppliers, ensuring agreed benefits and outcomes are realised.
  • Provide a portfolio-wide view of supplier concentration, dependency, and relationship risk, coordinating mitigation, contingency, and escalation activities with Procurement and Contract Management colleagues as required.
  • Support the transition to a future multi-supplier operating model by strengthening supplier collaboration, encouraging cross-supplier engagement, and proactively managing relationship dynamics across the supplier ecosystem.
  • Work closely with Contract Management colleagues to ensure a clear distinction between strategic relationship management and contract administration, while maintaining alignment on supplier performance, risk, and governance matters.
  • Produce clear and concise reporting on supplier relationship plans, governance effectiveness, relationship health, escalation trends, improvement activity, and value outcomes for senior stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
