About the role

Every RELEX implementation is a solution built from scratch for one customer: their processes, their data, their targets. (Senior) Supply Chain Consultants shape both sides of that build — the business processes and KPIs the customer will run on, and the configuration that makes them work in the system. Depending on your background you will lean more towards one side than the other. This is a heavily customer-facing role.

What you'll be doing

  • Understand how the customer really plans. Prepare, facilitate and document workshops to gather and specify business requirements, and run the data analysis that shows where the strengths and the gaps actually are.
  • Design the target picture — planning processes, roles and the KPIs the project is measured on — and guide customers towards RELEX best practice, including where their current way of working needs to change.
  • Build it. Configuration, business rules, workflows and reporting that deliver the design you just agreed, and that hold up in operation: nightly run performance, scalability and maintainability, not just functional correctness.
  • Make the value case tangible for customer leadership: define how forecast accuracy, availability, inventory and cost will be measured, and report honestly on where we stand.
  • Take it live. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing, resolve what testing surfaces, and upskill super users so the customer is proficient and self-sustaining after go-live.
  • Own adoption, not just delivery. A technically correct solution that nobody uses is not a successful project.
  • Document what you built — requirements, scope and configuration — so the project team, the customer and our Continuous Services colleagues can work with it after handover.
  • Work across disciplines: with Technical Consultants on the data model, interfaces and the customer's ERP landscape, and with Project Managers on scope, effort and timelines.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Within RELEX

  • Challenge and develop implementation best practice across industries (grocery, DIY, home goods, pharma, wholesale and more)
  • Share knowledge with the team as both a trainer and a participant, and support colleagues who are earlier in their journey
  • Work with our global teams on international projects and bring practices between regions
  • Use AI tooling actively in your daily work — we expect curiosity here and give you room to experiment

What we're looking for

Required:

  • Around 2+ years of relevant experience in supply chain or retail planning, demand and inventory planning, or in implementing / consulting on planning software. A degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, mathematics or computer science is a good foundation — but we care more about what you have actually done.
  • Structured thinking and comfort with ambiguity. Many customer requirements arrive without a ready-made answer. You break them down, work with data, and arrive at a defensible recommendation.
  • Communication that works across levels — from super users in a training room to senior stakeholders in a steering committee, including the conversations where the message is not what the customer hoped to hear.
  • Business-fluent German and English. Both are used daily.
  • Willingness to travel depending on the project phase.
  • Technical affinity: SQL, scripting, or an interest to pick these up

For the Senior level:

  • Several years of consulting or implementation experience, including demonstrable ownership of a workstream or a smaller project end-to-end — scope, risk, timeline and completion, not just your own tasks
  • Reliable effort estimation for standard and custom requirements, supporting scoping and SOW discussions
  • Experience coaching and mentoring less experienced colleagues
  • Confidence in front of senior customer stakeholders, including steering committees
  • Hands-on experience with a supply chain planning system, either as a user or as an implementer
  • Experience defining and tracking KPIs or building a value case
