Senior Supply Chain Manager

Location: Surrey
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 DOE

Alexander Steele Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an award-winning FMCG business in the recruitment of a Supply Chain Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics professional looking to take the next step in their career and lead a team within a fast-growing business with a turnover exceeding £100 million.

Leading a team of 6, you will be responsible for managing procurement, supply planning, and logistics activities, ensuring product availability, supplier performance, and service levels are maintained while driving cost efficiencies across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6 Supply Chain professionals.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Oversee procurement, inventory management, and supply planning activities.
  • Ensure stock availability while optimizing working capital.
  • Manage inbound logistics, imports, and freight operations.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Planning teams to support business growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement, cost-saving initiatives, and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Monitor and report on key supply chain performance metrics.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing, and Logistics.
  • Previous leadership or team management experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of supply planning, inventory management, and supplier performance.
  • Experience working within FMCG, Food Manufacturing, or a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ambitious, driven, and keen to develop within a growing business.
