Senior Support Engineer

Location: Cheshire, UK
Salary: £45,000

An award-winning Managed Service Provider (MSP) within commuting distance of Manchester and Liverpool is looking to hire a 3rd Line & Project Engineer. 80% of the role is focused on designing, leading, and delivering IT infrastructure projects, such as cloud migrations and networking upgrades. The role also requires problem-solving skills – the other 20% of the time the employee will act as a senior technical escalation point for the support team, resolving 3rd Line issues that are beyond the scope of the 1st and 2nd Line engineers.

This role is an ideal opportunity for candidates that want to work with modern technologies, enjoy varied project work, and desire autonomy and ownership of their work from planning through to delivery. The role involves working both remotely and onsite in the North-West, helping clients to modernise and improve their IT environments while ensuring excellent customer service.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
