Role Description
The Senior Support Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Hartlepool. This role involves:
- Providing advanced technical support to school and business clients
- Diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues
- Ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Managing escalated support tickets
- Monitoring system performance
- Implementing preventative measures to reduce recurring issues

Daily responsibilities include:


Get help with your application

- Working closely with customers to understand their environments
- Documenting solutions and procedures
- Assisting on-site school-based engineers
- Contributing to continuous improvement of support processes and service quality
The role requires regular communication with stakeholders to provide clear updates, recommendations, and guidance on best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills, including experience with diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues.
- Customer support and customer service capabilities, with a focus on clear communication, empathy, and building long-term relationships.
- Solid knowledge of operating systems (such as Windows, macOS, and common server environments) and related configuration and maintenance.
- Experience working in MSP or similar IT service environments, ideally supporting multiple clients across education and business sectors.
- Ability to create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced support environment.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar) or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to work on-site in Hartlepool 4 days per week and occasionally travel to client locations as needed.
