Role Description
The Senior Support Worker role is a full-time, on-site position based in Worksop. The Senior Support Worker will provide high-quality, person-centered care and support to individuals with diverse and complex needs, helping them to live as independently as possible and participate in everyday activities at home and in the community.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Supporting with personal care
- Daily living tasks
- Medication
- Care plans
- Promoting choice, dignity, and respect
The role also involves:
- Leading and mentoring support workers
- Coordinating shifts
- Maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring that safeguarding and health and safety standards are consistently met
The Senior Support Worker will collaborate closely with families, external professionals, and the wider team to deliver consistent, outcome-focused support.
Qualifications
- Experience in support roles, ideally as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker, with a strong understanding of person-centered care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to build trusting relationships with the people supported, colleagues, families, and professionals.
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and practice, with the ability to identify and respond to risks appropriately.
- Basic technical support skills related to care documentation systems, electronic records, and assistive technologies used in care settings.
- Relevant health and social care qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or working towards it).
- Understanding of learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and challenging behaviour, with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and to contribute positively to a team-based environment.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete enhanced background and reference checks.
