An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Support Worker to join our Buckinghamshire CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team.
You will work alongside experienced clinicians to support high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people. This varied role involves helping to gather information from young people, families, schools and other professionals, supporting assessment appointments and ensuring that relevant clinical information is recorded accurately and promptly.
You will also have opportunities to develop knowledge and skills in specialist assessment approaches, including QbTest for ADHD and ADOS. The post includes supporting the assessment of physical health needs and contributing to clinical meetings, service development, audit and clinical governance activities.
This job has the potential for some face to face interaction with families however, this is not the main purpose of the role.
In This Role, You Will
- Support the delivery of neurodevelopmental assessments in the community.
- Help clinicians identify and understand each young person’s strengths and needs.
- Liaise with families, schools and other agencies to gather information that contributes to robust assessments.
- Undertake QbTest assessments for ADHD, following training and guidance from qualified staff.
- Maintain clear, accurate and timely electronic clinical records.
- Communicate effectively with children, young people, families and professionals.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary and service meetings.
- Support audit, clinical governance and service-improvement activity.
- Work safely and independently within agreed policies, procedures and lone-working arrangements.
