Job Title: Senior Support Worker
Salary: £23,753 - £25,767 per annum
Hours: 29hrs 45min per Week
Location: Worcester Resource Centre
Team: Learning Disability Day Services.
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
Worcester Resource Centre is a day service for individuals with very complex physical, mental health, learning disabilities, and other related needs, which incorporate health action plans, eating and drinking plans, behavior management plans, and epilepsy. Personal care and dignity are paramount. Some individuals are mobile, while others are in wheelchairs, so moving and handling can be heavier at times. Support is provided to engage in meaningful activities that are person-centered, including engaging with the community.
Key Requirements
- Flexible and enthusiastic with an ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Good recording skills are essential.
- Computer skills are advantageous.
- Previous experience of supporting people with care and support needs would be an advantage; however, an understanding of the needs and rights of people with learning disabilities is essential.
- Ability to use your own initiative but who are also excellent team players.
- Can-do attitude with an ability to support and enable individuals to access a wide range of community activities.
