About the Role

Our Children's Home Rhondda are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and caring Senior Support Worker to join our team! We support children and young people up to the age of 18, with a range of needs, including emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, challenging behaviors, mental health needs in a group living environment. Our home has 4 bedrooms in the main house, including one en-suite bedroom and a fully functioning self-contained annex.

Our team takes a therapeutic approach to care, understanding that every young person is unique. Our home in Rhondda is a warm, nurturing space, where children are supported to feel safe, valued, and accepted for who they are. We pride ourselves on creating an environment that feels like a home, with relationships at the heart of everything we do. We have worked really hard over recent months to make our home feel comfortable for our young people; our most recent addition is our dedicated 'cloud room', a therapeutic and calming space designed around the needs of the young people. This space allows the young people to relax, watch films on the projector screen, use sensory resources to support regulation, reflect on their thoughts and feelings, and spend time with our therapist and staff in a comfortable environment.

Joining our home in Rhondda offers the opportunity to be a part of a caring and supportive team, where relationships matter. Every day brings new opportunities to make a difference, support children through their challenges, and celebrate their success.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
