Senior Support Worker - Children's Services

We are currently looking for a number of senior support workers across South Wales to join one of our national children provider clients and need you!
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Care: Provide trauma-informed, person-centered support in a therapeutic children's residential setting.
- Leadership: Assist the home manager in mentoring support workers, leading shifts, and ensuring high standards of care.
- Safeguarding: Protect young people from harm and strictly adhere to child protection procedures.
- Administration: Assist with shift planning, accurate record-keeping, and care plan reviews.
- Community Engagement: Facilitate leisure and educational activities to help young people build life skills. [1, 2, 3]

Requirements
- Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent in Health & Social Care).
- Experience: Previous experience working in a residential care setting with children or vulnerable individuals.
- Licensing: A full, manual UK driving license is strictly required.
- Competencies: Strong resilience, communication skills, and an open-minded approach to therapeutic care. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Typical Working Conditions
- Hours: Shift work is required, including evenings, weekends, and on-call or sleep-in duties.
