This role is crucial to our service and the success of our team who provide support to adults with a learning disability within our popular day service at Beeching Park, Bexhill. You will provide practical and emotional support to our staff team and to the people who attend our service. Your work will also have a real and positive impact on the lives of the people who attend the service and their carers.
As a Senior, you will ensure timetable activities promote friendships, teach independence skills and involve people in their local community, contributing to staff rotas to support this.
Our team of Support Workers provide a service to the people who attend from 8.30am to 7pm, four days a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays on a rota basis. This role has lead tasks for staff induction, training, supervision and development to ensure they are meeting the care and support needs of the people attending the service.
As Senior you are involved in:
- Monitoring and role modelling good practice
- Coordinating and planning rotas
- Support planning for the people attending the service
- Managing risk
- Key working
This role is a full-time role for 37 hours per week, working over the 4 operating days of Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays. The working pattern will therefore be 7.30am to 5.15pm and 9.15am to 7pm (both include a ½ hr unpaid break) rotationally, maintaining sufficient management cover across the service, as part of the management team.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Informal care experience
- Organisational skills and time management of self and others
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to plan, review and develop packages of support
- Level 2 Maths and English or ability to pass an assessment as part of the selection process

Interviews will take place in person on Thursday 29th October at Beeching Park, Beeching Road, Bexhill, TN39 3LJ. Interviews will include client involvement, a workplace assessment and meeting with managers of the service.

- Ability to identify needs and support requirement
- Ability to promote and monitor practice
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
