Job Description: Senior Support Worker (Adults).pdf

Lead. Inspire. Make Every Day Matter.

Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for your next challenge? Or perhaps you’re an established Senior Carer ready to bring your skills into a specialist residential setting where no two days are ever the same?

At Oak House, we’re looking for a passionate, energetic and caring Senior Support Worker to join our fantastic team supporting adults with complex physical disabilities, learning disabilities and sensory impairments.

This is a role where you’ll make a genuine difference every single day, while developing your leadership skills, broadening your clinical knowledge, and building an incredibly rewarding career.

Why Oak House?

Oak House is a warm, welcoming six-bedroom community home in Worsbrough, Barnsley, supporting adults to live full, happy and meaningful lives. You’ll work alongside an experienced and dedicated team, as well as Hollybank Trust’s in-house therapy specialists, helping to deliver truly person-centred support tailored to every individual.

What Makes This Role Different?

This is not a job where you’ll spend your day watching the clock. It’s a busy, hands-on role that offers variety, responsibility and huge opportunities for development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
