Senior Support Worker (Sycamores)
Location: South Kirkby (WF9)
Hours: Part-time (25hrs)
Hourly Rate: £14.81/hr (days)
At Sycamores, we provide a warm, supportive home for eight adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex needs. Our dedicated team is passionate about creating meaningful experiences, promoting independence, and ensuring the people we support live happy, fulfilling lives.
We're looking for a caring and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our team. If you're an experienced support worker ready to take the next step, or already working in a senior role and looking for a rewarding new opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Support Worker, you'll lead by example, supporting the day-to-day running of the service while ensuring exceptional standards of care and support. You'll:

- Support adults with all aspects of daily living, personal care and wellbeing.
- Lead, coach and mentor a team of Support Workers.
- Promote choice, independence and dignity at all times.
- Administer and oversee medication in line with policies and procedures.
- Help create engaging activities and community experiences.
- Support the development and review of care plans.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and quality standards are maintained.
- Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about supporting adults with complex needs.
- Caring, compassionate and committed to making a difference.
- A confident team player who can lead and motivate others.
- Experienced within a care setting.
- Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willing to work towards it).
- Organised, reliable and able to work flexibly, including weekends on a rota basis.

Hollybank Trust is committed to Safeguarding vulnerable people, and our Safer Recruitment process requires all employees to have an Enhanced DBS check and reference checks in line with our Recruitment & Selection policy.
We will pay for your initial DBS check, unless you have a portable DBS, however, if the candidate leaves voluntarily within the first 12 months, £58.90 will be deducted from your final salary payment.
