Company Description

Quarryplan Limited are an independent planning consultancy providing mineral planning advice to the quarrying industry.

Based in Crossgar, Co. Down, our expert team with unrivalled experience have a proven track record of delivering optimum development and planning solutions throughout the UK and Ireland. Our services include Land Surveys, Environmental Impact Assessments, Expert Witness, Due Diligence; Site Acquisition; Environmental Monitoring & Renewables.

We are looking to expand the survey department which currently supports the planning team, with the opportunity to develop the service into new public and private sectors. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual to take ownership and develop a surveying team building on the expertise within the industry.

Job Description

An excellent opportunity for a Senior Surveyor or a Survey Manager to lead the expansion of an existing business into a new field of Land and Measured Building Surveys in Ireland. From an existing office base in Northern Ireland you will have the chance to build and grow a business unit from the ground up, combining hands-on surveying with leadership and business development. You will have real ownership, flexible working and a strong package including bonus and company vehicle with unlimited potential.

Responsibilities

  • Business development of core specialism into a dedicated business specialising in land and measured building surveys;
  • Developing the business with public sector clients and private firms;
  • Provision of geospatial services including topographical, utilities and measured building work;
  • Securing new business and larger construction-based clients.
  • Develop and train existing staff and recruitment as necessary to deliver growth and premium service levels;

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years' experience in Land and Measured Building Surveying with strong technical skills;
  • Proven business development and leadership ability, with a 'can-do' attitude;
  • Experience tendering for public sector work and RICS/ICES Membership preferred;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Flexible to work between site, office and home as needed.
