Senior Surveyor – Niche Markets Valuation
Location: London
Department: Valuation & Advisory
Our Valuation & Advisory team in London is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join our Niche Markets team. The team provides valuation and advisory services across a range of specialist and emerging real estate sectors, including Data Centres, Life Sciences and other alternative and operational assets. You’ll work with a diverse range of clients including investors, banks, institutional funds, developers, operators and property companies.
This is an opportunity to develop specialist sector expertise while working closely with colleagues across C&W’s wider Valuation & Advisory and Capital Markets teams.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver valuations across specialist sectors including data centres, life sciences and other niche markets
- Undertake valuations for secured lending, financial reporting, acquisition, disposal and strategic purposes
- Provide valuation and strategic advice to a wide range of clients
- Prepare detailed cash flows, investment valuations and development appraisals
- Research and analyse market and transactional evidence
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
- Support the preparation of pitches and business development activity
- Work closely with other C&W service lines on client instructions

Key Requirements
- MRICS qualified
- Experience in commercial property valuation
- Strong understanding of investment valuations and development appraisals
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experience with Argus Enterprise and/or Developer would be beneficial
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple instructions and work to deadlines
Experience in data centres, life sciences or other specialist real estate sectors would be advantageous, but is not essential. We would also consider candidates with strong transferable valuation experience who are looking to develop a career in niche markets.
