Job Title: Senior Surveyor – Valuation & Advisory (Residential Development)

Location: Birmingham


Role Overview

A senior role within the Valuation & Advisory team specialising in residential development. You will lead valuations and provide strategic advice on development sites, supporting major developers, investors, and lenders across the UK.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead valuations of residential development sites in accordance with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors standards
  • Prepare detailed reports for loan security, financial reporting, and development appraisals
  • Undertake residual land valuations and viability assessments
  • Analyse market trends including sales values, build costs, and planning considerations
  • Manage client relationships and take a lead role in instructions
  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • Contribute to business development and winning new work

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Real Estate or related discipline
  • MRICS qualified (MRICS)
  • Strong experience in residential development valuation
  • Advanced financial modelling and appraisal skills
  • Proven client-facing and project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of the UK residential development market
