Senior Surveyor
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
Type: Permanent (Full-time)
The Opportunity
Matchtech are supporting a key client with the requisition of a Senior Surveyor to provide land compensation and valuation advice on major infrastructure and regeneration projects. Working across a diverse portfolio of transport, renewables, utilities, and regeneration schemes, you will play a key role in delivering strategic compensation advice, mitigating land acquisition risks, engaging with stakeholders, and supporting the successful delivery of nationally significant projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor, supplying specialist technical input, particularly around compensation and compulsory purchase legislation.
- Project manage and lead negotiations with landowners, clients, and stakeholders, helping to secure land and resolve claims efficiently and compliantly.
- Maintain high standards of engagement, strategic advice, and delivery on major projects within the transport, renewables, utilities, and regeneration sectors.
- Deliver informative and engaging presentations to small groups or teams.
- Liaise with landowners and stakeholders to support project delivery and maintain positive working relationships.
- Guide and mentor junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify potential leads and new work opportunities.
- Promote a culture of safety and advocate for safety improvements.

Key Skills & Experience
- Experience building effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Awareness of and compliance with RICS Professional Statements and other relevant professional guidance and requirements.
- Understanding of the legal basis of compulsory purchase compensation and the ability to apply it to the assessment of a wide variety of compensation claims.
- Demonstrable track record of settling compensation claims and providing compensation estimates.
- Experience supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure or regeneration projects.
- Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and manage negotiations effectively.
