Overview

A leading employee-focused multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join its growing sustainability team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Sustainability Consultant to take a leading role across high-profile, design-led projects while contributing to the development of sustainability services.

The successful Senior Sustainability Consultant will manage a range of projects, lead environmental assessments, and provide sustainability advice throughout the project lifecycle. You will also have opportunities to support service development, mentor junior colleagues, and build strong client relationships.

Day-to-Day

As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you will lead BREEAM, BREEAM International, and WELL assessments across a variety of building projects. You will coordinate sustainability input, provide client advice, and contribute to workshops, sustainability strategies, and design team discussions.

The Senior Sustainability Consultant will also review technical processes, improve delivery standards, and support the development of new business opportunities. You will supervise, mentor, and support junior consultants while managing multiple projects and maintaining strong technical standards.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years sustainability assessment experience.
  • BREEAM Assessor qualification and strong project experience.
  • WELL AP qualification.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and supervising others.
  • Strong understanding of the construction process and built environment sustainability.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and client-facing skills.

Additional experience with Fitwel, LEED, BREEAM Domestic, Life Cycle Carbon, Circular Economy, or Net Zero Carbon would be highly advantageous.
