Are you an experienced sustainability consultant looking to take ownership of high-profile environmental management projects and work with some of the world's leading organisations?
At Bureau Veritas, we're seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our growing Sustainability team. This is an opportunity to play a leading role in helping clients navigate complex environmental challenges, improve performance, achieve compliance, and deliver meaningful sustainability outcomes.
Working with a diverse client base across multiple sectors, you'll combine technical expertise, client management, and project leadership to support organisations on their journey towards more sustainable operations.

The Role
As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you'll lead the delivery of environmental management consultancy projects while supporting the growth and development of both clients and colleagues.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading and delivering environmental management and sustainability projects from inception through to completion
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor on environmental and sustainability matters
- Providing technical leadership across project teams and reviewing deliverables to ensure quality and consistency
- Interpreting environmental legislation and advising clients on compliance obligations and best practice
- Supporting organisations in developing and implementing environmental management strategies and systems
- Identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and support business growth
- Contributing to proposals, tender submissions and business development activities
- Mentoring and developing junior consultants within the team
- Keeping abreast of emerging legislation, standards, methodologies and market developments
About You
We're looking for an experienced consultant who is technically strong, commercially aware, and passionate about helping organisations improve their environmental performance.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience delivering environmental management consultancy projects
- Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation, compliance requirements and sustainability best practice
- Experience managing clients and delivering projects within budget and timescale requirements
- The ability to interpret complex environmental issues and provide practical, commercially focused solutions
- Experience supporting business development activities and proposal preparation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management capabilities
- High-quality report writing and presentation skills

Previous experience of working with ISO 14001 requirements
A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
Professional membership with a recognised environmental or sustainability institution would be advantageous.
